ENTJs are natural-born leaders and like being in charge. They live in a world of possibilities and they often see challenges and obstacles as great opportunities to push themselves. They seem to have a natural gift for leadership and decision-making. They are “take charge” people who do not like to sit still.
Intimidating
Being extroverts, people of this personality type like to be with people and need connections and contact with others. However, they can find it challenging to get close to someone or to truly understand what other people are thinking or feeling. ENTJs can have difficulty seeing things from outside their own perspective. They have to consciously work on thinking about others and what their thoughts, feelings, and views may be like. In extreme cases, in which they feel they have been pushed too far, they can be forceful, intimidating and overbearing.
Challenge
If there’s one thing the ENTJ person loves and enjoys, it’s a good challenge. ENTJs believe there is no limit to what they can achieve if they are given ample time and resources. This quality makes ENTJs successful entrepreneurs and powerful business leaders. ENTJs push their goals through with sheer willpower and keep pressing on when almost everyone else would have given up. ENTJs care little for how others see them, placing much more importance on getting the job done and accomplishing their goals.
Growth
ENTJs have a growth-oriented approach and outlook on relationships, and will seize any opportunity to improve themselves. ENTJs expect logical thinking from their friends and partners, and it is surprising and perplexing to them when others don’t always share this attitude. Still more surprising is others’ active efforts to avoid situations that may be tense, confrontational, or uncomfortable. This can lead to some relationship conflicts, but these can be minimized when both partners realize the nature of the ENTJ mind and thought process.
Determination
An ENTJ’s combination of intelligence, strong will, and logical reasoning skills are a force to be reckoned with, and they will fight to overcome any obstacle that they face. Their fearsome determination and intellect allow ENTJs to overcome many challenges and to be successful in school, business, career, personal life, and in love. Yet ENTJs can be easily tripped up when careful and rational thinking is more of a liability than an asset, or when emotions are more important than analytical reasoning. ENTJs should take the time to develop their emotional intelligence to compliment their determination and analytical minds.
